What I've been doing

So hi there.

Wow. I'm tired but I'm really enjoying what I've been doing! I've been working on an event at work for about 8 months now and the big event began with an awesome preview party on March 5 and the actual house tour itself started on March 6 and runs through March 26.

It's quite the affair and absolutely perfect for me that I get to work with interior designers considering how much I love decorating and design and this is my job and all the profit benefits my place of employment.

We have opened the doors of this historic estate in Stuart, Florida for all to see. For $30 a pop you get to see twenty-one spaces all uniquely and amazingly designed, enjoy lunch on the patio with a pool and riverfront as your backdrop and shop til your hearts content in the gift shop. And me? I get to run it all and make sure everything goes according to plan. Which is interesting because many, many, many things have not gone according to plan but it's really all about making it work!

Introducing the Cashel Estate.

These are just some of my favorite shots but there is so much more to see...maybe I'll post soon but will for sure after the 26th!

Ta da!

Okay, I finally did it. Pixie cut. Me. OMG. It's all part of the new me. I've lost 38 pounds, with about 19 more to go and I knew I was going to get a new hair cut along with my new body. And, well, I'm not the most patient person in the world. Actually, I have zero. I had to cut it now.

Wow.

I LOVE the texture!

I love this side.

And this morning when I woke up it looked like this. Wha? This means I get to sleep longer during the week! Yippee!

Okay so you can only comment if you LIKE it....

The Month of Mr. Fitness

Well, what can I say, I love celebrating. So, right now, we are in celebration overdrive. We have friends coming down from Birmingham this weekend AND a huge Bacon Birthday Party on Saturday. I see some cool bacon photos in your future.

Here's some highlights over the past several weeks.

Love, love, love our patio:

Surprise flan from a great restaurant in Miami. The server whispered "Cumpleanos Feliz" to Mr. F as to not embarrass him:

Say Cheese:

Miami Moonlight:

Liz, Joe and I surprised Mr. Fitness on his actual birthday with sushi!

Happy Birthday Bubbles!

Legendary BB King:

Buddy Guy. He was so entertaining!

I saved the best for last. My first ever encounter with a drag queen:

Three Things

One: I want to spontaneously dance more often.

Two: I think life could be more interesting if we sat on the floor more often.

Three: I want to drink tea out of a cute little teacup and saucer now and more often.

That's all.

Twenty Ten To Do List - please note I did not say resolutions

So yah for a New Year! I love it when new things happen because it gives you a chance to regroup and see where you are in life and then make a path of where you want to be. Constantly growing.

A picture montage will be forthcoming from all the Holiday Madness but right now I want to focus on things I want to accomplish in the first year of this decade.

1. Start MBA. I have lots of good/bad thoughts about this which could be an entirely new post so I will spare you and just say I'm being optimistic by putting it as #1.

2. Travel overseas. I don't care where. I just want to go. Possibly in June when Mr. Fitness is out of school.

3. Make this, which could possibly take the entire year. I also want to make a needlepoint pillow of some cool, inspiring person like Vin Diesel or Megan Fox (ha, not really) but I haven't found a pattern yet.

4. Save more money. I realize #2 and #4 don't really go together but again the optimism.

Runner-Ups (haven't convinced myself of these yet):

5. Maybe buy some rollerblades and start rolling again. One year for Christmas my brother and I received rollerblades and we lived on a lot of land and we had this ginormous horse barn *with no stinky horses* that was nicely paved straight down the middle. We taught ourselves how to skate and I would most adventurously jump over the cracks in the pavement.

6. Maybe learn to cook some fancy stuff or maybe just regular stuff that doesn't come in a box.

So inquiring minds want to know - what does your to-do list consist of for twenty ten? Just a hint for my bestie Emily: your #1 To do should be to blog at least weekly :o).

Cheerie-o.
