And these are the days of our lives

Hola! Nothing too crazy and exciting going on with us. Mr. Fitness will finish up the school year in a few weeks. He's giving the commencement ceremony address at his school on Saturday then after that we are leaving for the 12 hour drive to Birmingham! Woot!

Jazzy's birthday party is on Sunday. She's having a Hello Kitty birthday party and that makes her Aunt Jamie very happy. I made her invites. They are super cute if I do say so myself!

We also bought Jazzy and Ariyah ADORABLE HK outfits for the big day. And I bought myself a HK tank! I wonder if I could find Mr. F a HK tee?!? lol

Just found out that we will be able to lease our condo again! I am so relieved and happy. The thought of finding a new place to purchase or rent wasn't a happy one, and we have fallen in love with #1003. The owners said they will give us first rights to purchase when and if they decide to put on the market but that leasing again suits them too! YIPPEE!

You may remember my posts regarding the Designer Showcase Home that I posted photos of. The nonprofit I work for was the beneficiary for this hugely successful event. So successful we are pursuing it again for 2010 and they have found the perfect house to redo. Oddly enough the owners are from Birmingham. So that's neat. And, we had a designer meeting last week and you will never ever in a million years guess who showed up? Monica Pederson from HGTV! OMG! She is more beautiful in person than on the boob tube, if that is even possible. I believe she and one of her good friends, who is a designer in the area, will be doing a room in the house! How exciting, huh? And definitely good news for my non-profit!

I'm about to sound like my Aunt Laney but here goes: I went to have a health screening for work yesterday (b/c if you do it you got a $20 gift certificate and 4 hours leave!) Good news: I don't weigh as much as I thought - haven't weighed myself in about a year so that's good. Bad news: my cholesterol is high and my HDL ratio was high for cardiac risk. Um. Oh. Holy. Mary. Mother. Of. God.

I can't take this lightly. My daddy had emergency open heart surgery 4 years ago at 52 years old. I've never had a problem like this before so this is weird. I guess I have to start eating more fish high in Omega 3 and eating oatmeal and Cheerios. Fortunately, my new friend Liz and I are starting to walk the bridges together and we want to take it up a notch soon b/c we both want to get fit so that's a step in the right direction. Geez, I sound like an old person.

Speaking of, the fact that I will be turning 31 in a few weeks doesn't scare me. I'm excited! But I was thinking the other day about turning 32 and that does scare me. Why does 32 sound so freakin old? It sounds like the age of accomplishment and I'm like "OH crap, what have I accomplished?" I need to get busy working on my "what to do in my 30s list". Can I add "world peace" to my self-absorbed list?

Oh yeah. Almost forgot. I got bangs.

the hair stylist said I can stop by anytime for a bang trim which gave me the thought - drive by bangin'.....has many connotations...

Well, don't feel bad, Jams, I've got high cholesterol too. Just found out a couple of weeks ago, and got a nasty letter from the doc saying I needed to go on a low fat diet...which totally sucks. So, I'm doing the Cheerios thing too as well as eating lots of fresh fruit...still working on trying to do the veggies, but I hate those. lol.
