For Tracy

I'm tired.

I have been living and breathing the Frances Langford Designer Showcase House.

Today is my 12th day to work and you just don't even know how excited I will be for my day off tomorrow.

We opened a huge Designer Showcase House that is open on the weekends so that is why I've been working non-stop. We had budgeted about 1,000 people over the 16 day period and to date we have over 2,300 for 7 days! So that is very good. And I would consider that a success even though it's not over yet. On the plus side, I'm getting a ton of ideas on decorating my bedroom and other spaces. And if you know me, you know I love to decorate!

Not much going on other than that. I'm going to take a few days off in March for a long weekend and we may go to the Keys. At this point, I don't care if we just stay home.

I'm missing my friends and family in Bham a lot lately. So, someone better be planning a trip to come visit us soon. We are trying to think of when we will go to Bham again. It will probably be in May over Memorial Day weekend or something like that. We will see.

Mr. Fitness has been sick for about two weeks now. He had swimmers ear that went from one ear one week to the other ear the next. He went to the doc but the antibiotics were not helping. He finally went to a doc friend (or aquaintance) we have met several times at parties and he hooked him up with meds. He is getting better - thank goodness!

Gonna spend the evening eating Chinese and going to the hot tub. It was such a gorgeous day today - high 83ish. I hope its just as nice tomorrow b/c I plan on laying out all day and furniture shopping for our bedroom! I did purchase some new bedding. Now we are looking for a headboard, dresser and side tables.

Here's the bedding I purchased:

Much love to all my readers (all 4 of you that is, but its still fun to use the word 'readers') lol

Satisfied, Tracy?

oh yeah

So I think I have a bunion.

And that makes me depressed.

Why? Because the word bunion is synonymous with "old person".

And I think I found a new wrinkle on my face this weekend.

Oh Dear Lord.

BUT, if I end up having laugh lines like my daddy then I will be okay with that. Because I love his laugh lines and when I see mine, I will think about him.

i'm so happy

You may remember me blogging about how upset I was that Lipstick Jungle was being cancelled. I was so upset that I even wrote NBC (thank you Jen Lancaster) to tell them how crushed I was.

Yay Victory, Niko and Wendy!

An epiphany

epiphany [i -pif-uh-nee]: a sudden, intuitive
perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.

My simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence happened just a few moments ago when I was on Facebook writing on Dana's wall and hounding Sherry to write about her "I'm 30 Now What?" plan on her blog.

If you have followed my blog from the beginning, (I'm sure of the like 3 of you that read this, someone was there with me on that inaugural day!), you may remember that the six months prior to my turning thirty, I was in a neverending quest to figure out what the hell I was gonna do in my 30s. Now, I have some broad ideas like travel overseas, maybe (MAYBE!) have a child or adopt one, get my teeth whitened, learn Spanish, learn to play the guitar, stuff like that. I just had a brilliant idea to add to my list and its very specific and I love that!

I'm going to go to every tropical place mentioned in the song Kokomo! If I counted right that is about 10 places - 2 of which I had never heard of and didn't realize they were singing that so I wonder what I was singing during that part? Hmmmm.

I've been to one so far - Bahamas. Mr. Hunka Hunka Burnin Love and I are planning to go the Keys in March when he is on spring break.

So, I'm excited! I have a plan!

p.s. my digital camera has died so the photo portion of my blog will be put on hold until we get a new camera. I have a digital camcorder that takes photos but they are low quality so maybe I can use that in the meantime.

Shakedown 1979 - cool kids never have the time

It was 30 yrs ago on Sunday in 1979 that my Mr. Fitness was born. I'm so very glad he was and cannot thank his parents enough for doing the deed nine months prior.

We had a great birthday weekend. Our camera died before I could take pictures of everything! And oddly enough not one picture of the Birthday Boy himself - he was behind the camera mostly! But here are some pics of the week and weekend:

Ck out these kite surfers.....they are so cool....

Mr. Fitness took this. Apparently, we are obsessed with taking pictures of the sunrise...

Channeling my inner Marilyn Monroe and getting ready to go to the hot tub:

This was just funny. The surfboard is almost as big as the Miata:

It's me on the balcony. I had just colored my hair so I wanted to capture the moment without gray hairs....
